For the curious, I am still alive. I have abandoned most of my artistic pursuits for one reason or another. I just do not have the time or the inspiration to write anymore. Somewhere along the line, it started to feel too much like work, instead of something I enjoyed doing. And I have completely lost most of my free time for things like drawing or painting. Before, most of my artistic endeavours were done at work, back when I was at the call center. But now I have a job that required that I look busy for most of the day.
So, what has changed?
In January 2009, I moved from Small Town Virginia to Las Vegas, where I've been living ever since. I love the city and its crazy vide and all the insanity one can find here without even having to look that hard.
Arthur and Rabbit came with me. Gran, Emmy and Juliet are still back in Virginia.
I'm out of the call center industry and have a real job, in corporate real estate. How I got a job in real estate (a field I have no experience in) during this city's greatest construction collapse is beyond me. But hey, it's a good job, I don't have to sell anything, and it pays the bills.
I've switched over more or less exclusively to doll photography, because it's the only thing I have time for anymore and because it's a new hobby (well, over a year isn't really new) and it's one of the few artsy things I can still enjoy. You can find the doll account at [link]
And, if there's anything else you want to know, feel free to ask. I don't check this account often anymore, except to look for new deviations from those of you on my watchlist, and to hope like hell that a frakkin artist I paid TWO YEARS AGO to do a commission, will finally upload it. (Which is super frustrationg since this person is currently on a new commission kick and keeps swearing those from 2 years ago are done and just waiting to be uploaded. Yeah, right).
